What does World Labs make?

World Labs, the spatial-intelligence company co-founded by Fei-Fei Li, takes a different route from most of this list. Instead of streaming disposable video you play in real time, its models build space: persistent 3D environments you can download, and video that follows a camera path with pixel precision. There are two products: Marble, public since November 2025, and Atlas, announced on September 1, 2026.

Marble: persistent 3D worlds

Marble creates persistent, downloadable 3D environments from text, images, video or 360° panoramas. Its Chisel feature lets you shape the 3D structure directly — sketch the layout of a building, for example — before AI fills in the visual detail. You can expand worlds, combine several environments, and export them as Gaussian splats, meshes or video. Studios use it for game development, film VFX, virtual reality and robotics training environments.

Atlas: an omni world model

Atlas is a multimodal autoregressive diffusion transformer, pretrained from scratch to work natively with text, images, video and 3D in one shared spatial context. Camera paths are a native input, not something you describe in words: from one or a few reference images it generates up to a minute of 1440p video along a hand-designed trajectory, and it can rebuild explicit 3D from one to dozens of photos — the more it sees, the less it imagines.

In World Labs' own tests, human raters preferred Atlas's camera control over rival video models in 75–94% of comparisons, including 75% against MiniMax H3. It can also turn a handful of ordinary cameras into a “bullet time” capture rig, and reconstruct a room from a few phone photos into a simulation that produces the RGB and depth a robot's sensors would see.

Limits and access

Neither product is a real-time, playable world like Genie or ABot-World: they are creation and production tools. Marble is publicly available and developers can use the World API; Atlas is in early access for selected partners, and its benchmark figures are company-reported. Neither model is open source.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Persistent, exportable 3D (splats, meshes)
  • Pixel-precise camera control and 1440p video with Atlas
  • 3D reconstruction from just a few photos
  • Marble available today, with a developer API

Limitations

  • Not real-time or playable
  • Atlas limited to selected partners
  • Closed models; benchmarks are company-run

Who is World Labs (Marble & Atlas) for?

Game developers, VFX teams, VR creators and robotics engineers who need persistent 3D assets or exact camera control rather than a live, playable world.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Marble and Atlas?

Marble creates persistent, exportable 3D worlds from text, images, video or panoramas. Atlas is a newer omni model that generates camera-controlled video up to a minute at 1440p and reconstructs scenes in 3D.

Can I export 3D worlds from World Labs?

Yes. Marble exports Gaussian splats, meshes and video.

Is Atlas available to the public?

Not yet. Atlas is in early access for selected partners.

Is World Labs Marble real-time?

No. It is a 3D creation tool rather than a real-time playable world model.
